Well, that seems almost script kiddie-ish 
(as well as a possible ego stroke for the guy)

Having just read his "apology" and successfully repressing my urge to incite
a flame war (yay me) I can only hope that the librarians who have helped him
in his prior research take time out of their busy schedules to let him know
just how good his public appreciation for their work made them feel.

I wonder how he feels about wasting his 15 minutes of fame?

Gary,

I think an appropriate revenge would be for librarians to show Sony how
they can use the Internet to dig up all kinds of good information. A quick
search of Google pulled up his high school and a photo. Seems like a good
start for mischief.
