smal area search engines

Dear Web4libers:

I am interesting in all the websites offering seach engines of limited 
area built with robots that only scan a limited number of sites or those 
sites with a selection of terms. I identified so far these ones:

Phibot 
phibot.org
CORA 	cora.whizbang.com
ngSearch 	www.ngsearch.com
SearchEDU 
www.search.edu
SearchGOV 
www.search.gov
TRIP 	www.tripdatabase.com
Argos 	argos.evansville.edu
Hippias 	hippias.evansville.edu


It will be very useful to know the software used. I know you can do it 
with freeware program HARVEST but several people said to me that is very 
slow.
