your reset button does work, ie, it does exactly what it's supposed to do, it
resets the form fields to their initial state, which, in this case, is not
blank.
in the results page, your search engine script automatically fills out the
keyword form field, hence the initial state of the field is not blank but the
keyword(s) that was/were used to do the search.
I can see two solutions:
1. modify the search engine script (could be really tricky, what do you mean
by "generated by Front Page", how does FP search?)
2. asign a javascript-action to the button that will clear the contents of
your form field (check out any major javascript-source-library-site-thingy for
examples)
