[WEB4LIB] OPAC Security Revisited

Laurie,

I'll tackle this one:
'.... and if a student shuts down and logs in incorrectly the next
person can't print....'

Here's an easy way to make sure folks use the logon you want them to
use (e.g. they can't use a different logon):

1) Go to the PC and logon as an administrator
2) Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Local
Security Policy
3) Expand Local Policies on the left, and then double-click User Rights
Assignment
4) On the right side of the screen you will see all of the local user
rights.  Double click "Logon Locally"
5) Add the user that you want to logon to that machine and remove all
of the others (except for administrators, of course)

This procedure prevents users from logging on if they are not in the
"logon locally" list. You can also do this on NT machines.

Hope this helps,
