I do not currently maintain our website. It is created by another staff
member, fully written out in straight HTML.
Our page developer recently attempted to create a form (simple 5-question
fill-in-the-blank) for one of our member libraries, and tried to create one
in FrontPage. I JUST completed an advanced class, and thought I could help
work out the bugs.
When we finally got it to appear on the Internet (that alone was a
struggle), filled out the form and pressed [ENTER], we got this message:
============================================================
FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web
server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.
This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish
this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.
============================================================
Now, our hosting service swears they have FrontPage extensions. But the
page properties and options appear to be set up correctly, and I can't find
anything else documented that we should be doing differently from this end.
I don't know a whole lot more than that, but the library promised patrons
this form would exist on their site (without confirming we could do it), and
we'd like to help them out.
Any ideas? I feel really silly that we can't figure this out ourselves, and
am beginnning to believe it is impossible. Please email me privately.
Thanks!
