Colleagues,

Please excuse the cross-postings.

The LITA Open Source Systems Interest Group will present the following
program Sunday June 16, 2002, 1:30-3:30, in the GWCC-B406/B407:

Automate your Library for Under $1000

While the primary target audience for this program is smaller libraries
which may not be familiar with open source software, these speakers will
present information of interest to any librarian who deals with library
automation issues at any level.

The official program description: Open source software presently exists
which can automate a small to medium-sized library for very little cost.
Come hear how this is possible with Linux, OpenBSD, and OpenBook. The issues
of real costs and support will be discussed, as well as how open source
integrated library systems compare with their proprietary counterparts.
