Web analysis tools

What do folk recommend as a web site traffic/web log analysis product?
I know there a lot of commercial products, some so called free products 
want banner ads etc placed on your site, which  I know my system people 
would say NOOOOOOO! to.

Has anyone had experience of  using a freeware product from the UK:
Analog

It reads well, has some good reviews, has been around for a while but has 
it been used in the library world?
