The December 2002 edition of Peter's Digital Ready Reference Shelf is
available on the Gale Group website. Peter Jacso is a member of the
Internet Librarian Hall of Fame (http://www.rlc.dcccd.edu/lrc/fame.htm)
and this month he reviews:

[1]  Concise Oxford Dictionary - content-rich but marred by a fatal
software error, and

[2]  Encyclopaedia Britannica 2003 Ultimate Reference Suite (DVD-ROM
edition) - offers good value for the price ($45 after rebate) and and a
superb deal for online subscription (free access to the most comprehensive
version of three encyclopedias, the yearbook dictionaries, thesaurus,
articles from renowned journals and magazines for three months and $25 for
an additional year).

written by Peter Jacso, the 1998 recipient of the Louis Shores - Oryx
