We use PAC 4 Windows - which I assume you are referring to - and the group
policy based security in NT (and soon in 2000) without problems. What are
the concerns of your IT dept?
Java WebPac is on the way out to be replaced by iPAC2.0 which will not be
Java based. Given the design of webpac the sooner this happens the better.
