Of course I would submit a Zope/Python solution, there is a live demo of the
full version at
http://www.amphora.ee/freeware/
They say you should run this from a standalone server, so if you have an
older slower PC around load linux on it and try this program. Seeing that
Zope also runs on a Windows PC you can take that route although then your
price goes up the cost of licensing windows on that PC.
You can slo download from-

Amphora light

About: Amphora Light is an open-source Web-based groupware server
written in Python and Zope. It offers basic office
functionality: calendars, tasks, contacts, discussion, and Web
email in the context of a hierarchical organization and
flexible access rights. Both Netscape and MS IE are supported
as clients. It supports synchronization with MS Outlook
calendar, tasks, and contacts through a separate MS Windows
client.
I am looking to implement this myself and its been on my list for several
monthes.

Subject: [WEB4LIB] Desperately Seeking Scheduler
Firstly - my apologies if this is considered off-topic, and also for
cross-postings. My excuse is that I am in dire need.
I am seeking software that will help in scheduling meetings. I work in a
number of cross-functional teams comprised of different sets of people from
four different areas of my library, each of which has its own schedule. It
can take a week of effort to schedule a meeting, and sometimes we can't find
a date less than a month out, which is often undesirable.
I would like to find something based on the internet, or alternatively a
program I could install and run from our own LAN.
Of course, I have nothing in my current budget for such an item, so
freeware/shareware options would be most valuable.
TIA for any suggestions, and apologies again for any infringement of
listserv rules.
Sincerely,
Robin Boulton
