Description: Northeastern State University is a regional
university of more than 9,500 students.  NSU, located in the
historic town of Tahlequah, is rich in recreational and
cultural opportunities and is one hour's drive from Tulsa. 
John Vaughan Library is housed in a three-story facility
which was renovated in 1996.  The library provides access to
a myriad of electronic information resources via NSUnet, the
campus electronic network, and the Internet.  The library
collection includes more than a million items.   Feel free

Degree Requirements: Master's level library/information
science degree, accredited by the American Library
Association.  Entry-level candidates are invited to apply.

Experience/Qualifications: Strong computer skills; good
problem-solving ability and communication skills; strong
service orientation; ability to handle multiple priorities,
think quickly, and multi-task; ability to work alone or in a
team environment

Desired: Oracle database and Unix experience.

Responsibilities: Coordinate and supervise the Library
Technology Support department.  Maintain the library catalog
system (VTLS) through database and system management. 
Provide regularly scheduled reference desk coverage. 
Support the development of additional computerized library
resources.
