Javascript contractor recommendations

I'd like to ask those on this list to recommend contractors for
javascript development and assistance. In particular I'd like to hear
about contractors who have worked on library-type sites successfully in
the past and who have proven ability to troubleshoot compatibility
issues across platforms.  I realize that javascript will not work in all
situations but I have found it difficult to find contractors who will do
the work required to optimize.

I'm willing to pay, of course, for skilled and service-oriented work.
I'd love to hear about folks you've had good experiences with! I am in
Oakland, CA but location is not an issue.
