*	Regular Staff - Programmer/Systems Analyst - 1 Opening -  Library 
Headquarters

*	Grade 17GB - 40 hours/week
	Salary Range -- $39,784 -- $52,200 (Plus longevity pay at 7,11, 
and 16 years)
	Hiring Range -- $39,784 -- $45,012 (Depending on skills and
experience)

*	Highly skilled technical and professional work in the design, 
development, operation and maintenance of the Library networked computer 
systems, including the Web/intranet.
	Designs, develops, tests and supports database applications, 
including the Web/intranet applications.

*	Requires knowledge and demonstrated ability to work with:  
Microsoft Office, Access, Backoffice, SQL, SMS, 
and other PC applications; VMS, Windows NT servers, 
Windows NT, XP, and 2000; basic network technology, 
particularly TCP-IP; VisualBasic, VisualC++, Perl; 
Webservers, HTML, Javascript, XML, CSS, CGI-bin;  
Dec Alpha, and IBM-compatible workstations; 
some MAC experience helpful.  
Requires strong communication skills; 
ability to work effectively as part of a team; 
ability to work some evening and weekend shifts and some overtime.

*	Requires knowledge of computers, 
programming and systems normally acquired through a 
Bachelor's level degree in computer science or related field, 
or equivalent combination of experience and training.
