Hey all!

We're looking at doing a small rollout of StarOffice 6.0b to do some
testing and see what the waters will be like amongst the staff. I would
like to hear from some libraries already making use of StarOffice 6b and
what your experiences have been. Our IT folks and I are in agreement
that this is an impressive piece of software and that you deffinitely
can't beat the price. However, we've got some hefty Windows users here
that are going to be a little harder to convince.
Ou reasons for doing this are two fold: standardization amongst the
staff (as StarOffice can be installed on Linux and Windows machines) and
cost efficiency. We need to upgrade our office software, but MS Office
is not looking like a decent solution.
You can reply to me directly and I will post a summary to the
listserv.

Thanks much!
Dan
