Does anyone know of software (free or otherwise) that prevents multiple
instances of a program from running?

We are experiencing problems when one customer does not properly close out
of a program, then another comes along and opens the same program.  After
five or six occurrences of the same program, Windows tends to crash.

I hope this makes sense.  Any help is greatly appreciated!
