word 2000 problem

Hi everyone on the net. I found the menu bar and toolbars disappeared from 
my word 2000 program. I rebooted my PC several times and got the same 
results. The problem was still there even after I removed the whole office 
2000 and reinstalled it from original CD-ROM. Are there some peers who had 
the same experience before and can give me some help? I will appreciate it 
if anyone can shed me some lights on it.
