[WEB4LIB] "What's New" links

Mike:

At New Mexico State University we use an electronic mailing list, E-Line, to
notify subscribers of new resources, ejournals, training, and Internet sites
of note. These notices are posted and archived at
http://lib.nmsu.edu/news/eline/index.html. Through data collected via the
subscription form, I track statistics on subscriber status and area of
research.

However, I also believe that a weblog (combined with the mailing list) would
serve the same purpose in a more timely and convenient fashion.

Subject: [WEB4LIB] "What's New" links

Hi everyone -

I'm beginning a redesign of our website, and am looking for examples of how
other libraries notify their patrons about new products and services. I
would appreciate recommended websites, suggestions, etc.

Thanks!

Mike
