UNinstalling Shockwave/Flash

Since I have been unable to find a way to make Shockwave/Flash work for a
user with only USER level rights -
(the floor is still open for suggestions on that)
My next project will be to UNinstall it altogether.

Since it is apparently just an extension/plugin to IE it does not show up
under add-remove programs
Is there a simple/obvious way to remove it that I am just overlooking?
