It sounds like some of these people need to get a life -- 
or at least psychological counseling --

I realize chat rooms are supposed to replace human contact - and interactive
media is supposed to replace shopping malls and theatres ---- 
but a world where even pets are replaced by machines is NOT a world I would
care to live in.
