We have all three types of names you mentioned but we still had some
problems with students and some staff going to the University's page and
not finding us. We asked that the libraries be listed on the University
homepage as well as under Academics (not necessarily where I would look,
but ...). We were told that it wasn't necessary.
What I did about this was go find examples of university homepages where
the library was listed, printed them out and sent them to our webmaster.
That time, he got back to me and said he had been thinking of adding it. He
did so the next day. I don't know why the second approach worked better
with him but it did.
Tony, I also wanted to ask a question. How is not having all types of names
a breach of academic freedom? I'm asking this question simply to know, not
to be a smart alec or to flame anybody.
