SURVEY -- portable storage

Technology is changing fast. It is predicted that the 3.5-inch diskette
drive on PCs will soon be discontinued by the computer industry.  PCs with
CD/DVD drives are becoming standard.  Libraries are challenged to rethink
their desktop storage options in preparation for this change. The purpose
of this survey is to gather information on the desktop storage options
used or to be used in libraries.

The survey is at http://www.lib.pdx.edu/~bvah/survey/survey.html and the
deadline is April 1, 2001.  Responses to this survey will be summarized,
and the results will be sent to those who participate in this survey if
requested.  All answers will be kept confidential.  This survey should
take only 5 minutes to complete.
