Go Network search is now provided by GoTo

Sometime this past week, Go.com [Disney/InfoSeek] relaunched, and the InfoSeek search engine has been replaced by GoTo. From GoTo's about page:

"GoTo Search is the Internet's leading Pay-For-Performance™ search engine. GoTo Search generates highly relevant search results by allowing advertisers to bid for placement in the company's search results only on keywords that are relevant to their Web sites."

I note that GoTo claims alliances with AV and Lycos. Is the use of pay-for-performance more subtle on those sites?
Any reason why Go.com should be left on library pages of search links?
Will InfoSeek resurface somewhere?
