Featured Site: Michigan.gov - This recently introduced portal is an effort
to redefine the manner in which online information about state services is
made available to the public. Rather than requiring users to locate data
from various state agencies using a search engine, this site presents its
information via "themes." These themes are actually topic areas, and they
are presented in a visually appealing and easy to use arrangement. For
example, under "Michigan Government," you will gain access to the executive
branch, the courts, and the legislature. This site deserves kudos for its
ease of use, sensible grouping of information, and good content. (Editor -
