One good candidate might be Rootsweb, which offers up
thousands of pages of free genealogy information contributed by
volunteers all over the world, and also offers free unlimited web
space to just about anyone. By offering free web space they are in
some ways like Geocities, etc., but because it is almost all relative
to genealogy and most of it is linked and/or searchable from a
central location, it can in some respects be considered one big
single website.
