A small clarification here, we are mixing up two different "Picos":

Pico the text editor (which, for those of you who use PINE email, you 
already use it), by the University of Washington. It is distributed 
with PINE (see http://www.washington.edu/pine/) but once compiled, 
can be used as a stand-alone text editor. This is the Pico to which 
Blake referred.
