WE issue headphones in the library for language courses and multimedia
cdroms etc - when they are returned we place them in a small unit UV unit -
size of a small microwave for about 5 minutes - this "cooks" any bugs there
might be on the headphones. Also cooks the headphones if we forget and leave
them for too long

Subject: [WEB4LIB] headphones
We are in the process of installing a computer lab with Gates NT
computers. The computers all have headphones, and will require the
use of these headphones for most of the applications. Is there anyone
who has developed a solution for keeping the headphones sanitary
after each library patron use? Have you run across a disposable
headphone earpiece cover? If so, how can they be obtained?
Thank you,
Lelia Nichols
