I know of a few corporate firewalls/filters that block places where
you can download software.  They apparently want to keep staff from
installing their own stuff on the corporate machines.  Our library
doesn't block such, but we counsel staff that they should not install
their own software, screensavers, etc, due to a variety of risks
involved.
