Scanners

We are a small liberal arts college that is providing access to Electronic
Reserves for are students.  We are using an HP scanner with a document
feeder.  We have been having problems with the scanner occasionally jamming
and also, having to clean the rollers alot because sometimes they don't
"grap" the paper.  As demand increases, these issues are becoming more of a
problem.  Is anyone using different hardware that is more efficient and
alleviates some of these problems?
