 The LOS ANGELES CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR INFORMATION SCIENCE
 AND TECHNOLOGY announces its March dinner meeting:

 "MIDSTREAM: EXPLORING YOUR CAREER OPTIONS"
 Presenter: Kathleen Smith, Advanced Information Management

 "What do I want in my work life - now, next, or in 5 years?"  Kathleen
 will talk about career planning, career retooling and exploring
 alternatives to your current job. Kathleen has had a "checkered career,"
 including an MLS from Pratt Institute, a BA in History, minor in
 Chemistry, and employment in special and law libraries as well as vendor
 land. She is also in the midst of a "mid-career exploration" and will
 share the journey with LACASIS.

 beverages will be available)

 >From the 110 Freeway:
 Take the 6th Street exit and drive east about eight blocks on 6th  (past
 Spring St.) to Main,
 turn left on Main and drive four blocks north to 2nd St.,
 turn left on 2nd and drive one block west to Spring St.
 turn left on Spring and move into the far right lane.
 The entrance to the LA Times parking structure is on the right, halfway
 down the block, at 213 S. Spring Street.

 >From the southbound 101 Freeway:
 Take the Broadway exit and drive south three blocks to 2nd St.,
 turn left on 2nd and drive one block east to Spring St.,
 turn right on Spring and stay in the far right lane.
 The entrance to the LA Times parking structure is on the right, halfway
 down the block, at 213 S. Spring Street.

 >From the northbound 101 Freeway:
 Take the Spring Street exit and drive south three and a half blocks, past
 2nd St. The entrance to the LA Times parking structure is on the right,
 halfway down the block, at 213 S. Spring Street.

 >From the parking garage, take the elevator or adjacent stairs at the
 northeast corner of the parking structure (closest to the Spring Street
 entrance), down to street level. Turn left and walk north up Spring
 Street to the corner of 1st and Spring. Turn left and enter the building
 at 202 W. 1st Street, which is the Globe Lobby entrance. Tell the
 Security Guard that you're attending the LACASIS dinner meeting. Take the
 elevator to the Fifth floor and follow the signs to our meeting room.
