MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking a web content manager to
maintain and enhance its external web site, and to improve
the ability of Laboratory staff to share knowledge and
collaborate on the Laboratory Intranet.  Working closely
with senior managers, technical staff, Human Resources,
Archives, and the Web Development Team, the content manager
will plan, coordinate, facilitate, and monitor the
activities of a wide variety of contributors, to produce new
content for both internal and external web publication.

Primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop a strategy and processes to support the continual
enhancement of the MIT Lincoln Laboratory Web Site
(http://www.ll.mit.edu) to fulfill the dual objectives of
attracting talented technical staff to the laboratory, and
demonstrating how the Laboratory contributes to the
advancement of technology in the national interest
- Monitor external articles about the Laboratory, internal
Laboratory work, and the websites of other laboratories, to
identify and prioritize appropriate new content for external
publication
- Assist in development and delivery of appropriate
standards, templates, usability testing, and  training to
assist content providers in providing their material in the
most effective format
- Coordinate activities throughout the Laboratory to keep
the site up-to-date
- Work with individual content providers to insure that the
Laboratory’s message is compelling, consistent, and of the
highest quality
- Participate on Web Intranet Development activities

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library and/or
Information Science and/or Business Communications
- Prior experience as webmaster, and/or content or knowledge
manager, is required.  Experience providing electronic
services to support recruiting / job advertising is
preferred
- Facility with web authoring tools coupled with knowledge
of Web technologies and their applications
- Project management experience preferred, with demonstrated
leadership qualities, including flexibility, delegating and
customer service skills, and the ability to work creatively
in a collaborative and rapidly changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
