Has anyone discovered this and, more importantly, has anyone figured out
how to solve this problem?
For our public computers, I'm running IE 5.5 sp2 under Windows 98SE with
an evaluation copy of Deep Freeze v3.2. We print to networked printers on a
Novell network, HP LJ 5Ms and LJ 4050TNs.
The problem is, under IE, when I select File > Print, then click OK to print to
the default printer, the printout comes just fine, but with an added BLANK
page that comes after the legitemate printout. If I select File > Print, then
use the drop down arrow to reselect the default printer and click OK to print,
the extra blank page isn't printed.
I haven't tested for this problem on the 5M printers, but I have seen it on the
4050TNs.
I've tested for this using Netscape Communicator 4.7 and MS Word 2002
(Office XP) and the extra blank page isn't generated. The problem only
seems to be with IE. My gut feeling is that Deep Freeze isn't the culprit; I've
observed the same behavior when testing things while booting in "thawed"
mode.
Any ideas?
