Link selection policies

A few months ago I posted a request for information regarding link
selection policies libraries use for web sites.  Unfortunately, all the
responses I saved were wiped out in an experiment with Opera (not Operas
fault -- mine!).

If anyone would be indulgent enough to resend information I would
appreciate it greatly.
