Netscape 6.1

Netscape 6.1 Final is up on the Netscape ftp sites--I assume it will be
going up on their download page today or tomorrow.  Whereas Netscape 6 and
6.01 were built on very early alpha versions of Mozilla, this is built on
version 0.9.2, which is quite stable and a better performer all around
(though a Mozilla-based browser is never going to be as snappy as Opera).

NS6.1 does not come with LINK support, so it remains an HTML 2
non-compliant browser, but it will load the LINK-related XPI files from
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87428 if you want them.

Speaking only for the browser (not mail, news, messaging, etc.) this one
looks like it might be ready for prime time.
