That's a very good point, Thomas - it's probably the font size on LJ
that is more annoying than the lack of serifs, but I find smaller
fonts much easier to read as serifs (especially if in long blocks of
text). Verdana is especially annoying but the same problem occurs
with Arial.

(I was sure I'd seen a recent study suggesting the use of serif for
blocks of text and sans serif for headlines, but perhaps I'm
projecting my own perferences - anyone?)
