There's a cookie washer at www.webroot.com that will, besides clearing cookies, clear inline auto-completes, location bar, cache, etc. Shareware. You can invoke it or schedule it.
When I attend conferences I often marvel at how public terminals are set up in a way where subsequent users can see evidence of previous users' activities. It would sure be nice if browsers had built-in configuration options for wiping all tracks away. IE6 does let you clear up cookies.
