[WEB4LIB] Regarding Job:Librarian at IBM Research

Friends:

My reaction to the numerous announcements of these contract positions at
IBM was along different lines. While I wish them the best in their search,
I found what they are offering to be rather unattractive in comparison to the
job opportunities in general. Contract positions of this nature don't hold
a candle to the options for full time contract work in startups, and the
likelihood of finding permanent positions in the tech sectors seems pretty
good, too. Maybe if they offered more money and job security, they'd get
more takers, and send fewer messages <grin> Best, Terry Huwe
