[WEB4LIB] video projector recommendations

I went with the Boxlight XD-9m DLP. It has a sharp picture and is very
light. I expect to have to carry it places. Some think the colors are not
as bright, but we will use it for database demos and are not concerned with
color. Actually the color looks fine to me, but DLP technology is a "time
share" way to get three colors from one chip.

There are several different vendors who all have their brand name on it.

It was close to $5,000 but we also got an extra lamp and a maintenance plan
which made it more.

	Friends-

My institute is going to buy a video projector for Powerpoint, live
Web and
other presentations. We have a budget of up to $5,000, which should
enable
us to get a higher level model. Does anyone have recommendations
for a
good make & model? We would be looking for a balance of high
resolution &
	portability (emphasis on resolution).

If anyone has bought one of these recently, please reply to me
personally,
hopefully in the next few days <g>! If a bunch of great
recommendations
come back my way, I'll post a summary to the list.

	Thanks a lot! Terry Huwe/IIR Library/UC Berkeley
