I have been asked by a few people to post any responses to the call for CBT
sites so here they are:
Thanks to all who responded!

We designed this tutorial for our RN to BSN students: adult students in
our
nursing program who attend classes at a satellite location. We created it
using Macromedia's Authorware, which is quite flexible and not too
difficult
to learn, but which does require an investment of time to learn. The
finished
product can either be a self-contained program that you can put on a CDROM,
or you can put it on the web (the user will need a plug-in).

Feedback has so far all been positive. We have both a CD version and a web
version, and students/faculty seem to like that flexibility for access.

Our article on the experience of building it has been accepted for
publication,
so hopefully that will be out in about a year.

Hope this information is useful to you.

Sincerely,
Elena O'Malley

I don't know if this is the type of thing you are looking for, but here are
a couple of sites using interactive tutorials:

TILT http://tilt.lib.utsystem.edu/ Texas Information Literacy Tutorial

online catalog tutorial and quiz from The Libraries of The Claremont
Colleges

Deb Flanagan's interactive tutorial on how to search the Web with basic or
advanced techniques.

All of my online classes are available at:

http://reference.camden.lib.nj.us/classes/

I've used just a general html editor and FrontPage to create them.

The most joyous response that I usually get is when people find out that
they can "repeat" the class online with the URL I give them during class.

We have Smartforce CBT courses on the network behind our firewall and we
make the same courses available on CD-ROM. CDs are quite popular - most
prevalent comment is that there's no time to take the courses while at work
tho some users are also using them in the 'learn and leave' mode.

Our Learning and Development dept. selects the courses with input from
various departments. That dept. lists the courses with expected hours needed
to complete. Courses are listed in our online catalog tho we don't include
the hours needed to complete.
