New on LLRX.com (http://www.llrx.com) for November 15, 2000:

**Mining Deeper into the Invisible Web
(http://www.llrx.com/features/mining.htm)

The Internet is full of sites to locate useful information. Much of this
information is located on open web pages, accessible by general search
engines. But a great deal more of the information resides on databases that
general search engines simply cannot reach. It’s not that the information is
really hidden or invisible. It’s there, freely available and waiting to be
found, and Diana Botluk's article provides the resources and strategies
necessary to do so.

**A Look at eAttorney and Elements of the Law School Placement Process
(http://www.llrx.com/features/eAttorney.htm)

Legal recruitment for summer associates and new attorney hires is a time
consuming process. Atlanta-based eAttorney has developed a series of
Internet-based applications for law firms, law schools and job seekers at
all levels, primarily oriented towards automating the legal recruitment
process. Roger Skalbeck reviews their current and projected services.

**Web-Based Government Contracts Research
(http://www.llrx.com/features/govcon.htm)

Government contracts law can appear like a "maze of statutes and
regulations" to researchers, but the Internet can be a real asset in this
area. Gloria Miccioli's annotated, topical guide covers courts, government
and commercial sites, meta-sites, and research guides.

**Introduction to the Swiss Legal System: A Guide for Foreign Researchers
(http://www.llrx.com/features/swiss.htm)

Fridolin M.R. Walther, attorney, author, lecturer and researcher at the
University of Bern, has created an extensive guide to the federal system,
treaties, legislation, caselaw, texts on major topical areas, electronic
research, libraries, and more.

**Internet Resources for Tracking Information on the Supreme Court
(http://www.llrx.com/columns/notes36.htm)

Roger Skalbeck focuses on information by and about the court, including
links from a range of public and commercial sources to docket sheets, order
lists, briefs and oral arguments, and commentary on cases.

**Research RoundUp: Searchable Intellectual Property Databases Updated
(http://www.llrx.com/columns/roundup6.htm)

Kathy Biehl provides a catalog of searchable IP databases maintained by
government, academic and institutional sites. Her updated resource list now
includes specialized U.S. patent databases, Canadian patent and trademark
registrations, and trademark registration databases from 10 states.

**Reference from Coast to Coast: What is the Law - Finding Jury Instructions
(http://www.llrx.com/columns/reference19.htm)

Surprisingly, there are no comprehensive lists of titles or links to state
jury instructions. In their column, Jan Bissett and Margi Heinen provide
titles and sources of jury instructions, in print, online and on the Web,
including lists of state jury instructions and links where available.
