[WEB4LIB] Changing Word Files to Acrobat files.

First question: Do you have Adobe Acrobat? (Not just the reader.) The
full installation of Acrobat 4 contains conversion filters for Word and will
even place a "create PDF file" button on your Word toolbar.
Second question: If you don't have Acrobat, are you using the distiller
that came with PageMaker? If you have only distiller there's a simpler way
than what you're doing. You should be able to print your Word file to a
postscript file and then distill the Postscript file. Essentially what's
happening is that by "printing" to a postscript file you're saving an image
of your Word file which is then converted to PDF using the distiller. So,
there shouldn't be any need to reformat as long as you're happy with the way
things look in Word. Two caveats for this method, though. You'll need to
have drivers for a Postscript printer installed, and you may need to embed
fonts if you're experiencing problems with printing or reformatting of what
you're trying to convert.
Hope this helps.

Hello Friends,
Once again I am culling your collective wisdom.
What is the "best way" to translate a MS Word File to an Adobe Acrobat PDF
file?
