Announcement:  PLA's Community Information Services Committee is
sponsoring three events at ALA 2000 that may be of interest to those on
this list.

* Community Information Services Change Lives: A look at CIS on the Web
* Who Ya' Gonna Call-- Libraries and the 211 Initiative
* A CIS discussion group

Note:  if you don't know what 211 is and your library provides any type
of
local information and referral service, this is will be a great program
for you!
