A SCOUG MYSTERY WEEKEND
Friday, July 28, 2000 - Sunday, July 30, 2000
Granlibakken Resort, Lake Tahoe, California

The fourteenth in SCOUG's series of insightful Retreats will focus on
the
great mystery of the Information Age - the future and present
whereabouts
of the Information Professional.

The two great tasks of information professionals - those working in
libraries, in the information industry, or out of their own SOHO
settings
- have been Archive and Access. Our Ideals? That no information ever
completely disappears and equally, that all information reaches the
people
who need it.

But things have changed in the Third Millennium, so come to the 14th
Annual Retreat and help define your future and the future of colleagues
yet unborn!

We will turn an eye inward and examine how info pros view information
from
their own industry, and focus on the disturbing trend of incomplete and
inaccurate information being deliberately pushed out to the professional

community. This year's retreat will take the form of a sleuthing
weekend
with an information mystery to be solved by teams of SCOUG info sleuths.
