database vendors

Hi everyone,
  I'm a library science student looking for information on Lexis-Nexis, 
ProQuest Direct, Medline, Dialog and EBSCO.  I need pricing information, 
what type of service they offer, some criticisms/praises about the services 
they offer.  Besides checking each of the vendors home page, are there any 
other suggestions.  I have also checked out magazine articles as well.  I 
was just wondering if there are other resources out there I am not aware of.
