The best attended booth at the ALA meeting was that of Book Systems, 
which was showing their program called EZCat 
(http://booksys.com/ezcat/)  which (from my point of view as a 
non-librarian) I would have to describe as the Napster of MARC 
records. Well OK, it doesn't do the distribution,just the distributed 
access and it's not free, but the ecological effect on the 
distribution of MARC records is likely to be similar.

Or maybe is was the toys they were giving out.
