Work in Reference?
Tired of Search Engine Craziness?
Of trying to identify and find the web resource you need among them all?
Think maybe better bib control would provide at least some relief?

If so, please join us for an open discussion on these and related issues
with other reference colleagues. The results of this open session and of a
survey of selected libraries and librarians during July, along with
recommendations for future action, will be presented at a November 2000
conference, Bicentennial Conference on Bibliographic Control for the New
Millennium <http://lcweb.loc.gov/catdir/bibcontrol/>. Hosted by the
Library of Congress, the conference will offer reference librarians a
significant opportunity to speak directly and openly to the cataloging
community about our needs with regard to cataloging and metadata for
web-accessible digital works.

View the survey at <http://www.loc.gov/rr/business/survey.htm> and come
Sunday to make your voice heard in what promises to be an animated
discussion on the state of the art and future needs for reference
librarians.
