Hi Janet
I've recently surveyed use of search engines within UK University and
Public Library communities.
My first survey of UK Universities was reported in the Ariadne web
magazine (see
http://www.ariadne.ac.uk/issue21/webwatch/) The survey results are at:
http://www.ariadne.ac.uk/issue21/webwatch/survey.html
An updated survey of UK Universities plus a survey of UK Public
Libraries is available at:
http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/web-focus/surveys/
I'm giving a talk about these surveys at the Internet Librarian
International conference in London in March. My slides are available
at:
http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/web-focus/events/conferences/libtech-2000/indexin
g/
Comments welcome.
Has anyone carried out any similar surveys in the US?
Brian
