proxy servers and authentication

Hi all,

Our library - Medaille College in  Buffalo, NY - is hoping to provide
full off-campus access for our students and staff, to our databases and
indexes through a proxy server. Can anyone recommend proxy server
software that uses IP Authentication to provide this access? Our OPAC is
Library Solutions (The Library Corporation), and we've been advised it
does not offer this option at the current time.
