Removing IE from desktop

We have several new Win98 PC's in the library.  We use Netscape 4.08 stand
alone on the public machines and therefore I have it loaded on the staff
machines also. Since the staff machines are used by more than one person, I
really want to keep IE out of use and have things standardized. There was
no problem removing IE from the desktop of the Win95 machines that we have.
 Is it possible to remove Internet Explorer from the desk top of a Win98
machine?  If so, does someone have instructions?
