Topics: Here is a wonderful opportunity to learn a lot about and
discuss the issues surrounding ETDs (electronic theses and
dissertations), including archiving, distance education, project
management, federated searching of the NDLTD,* and how publishers
feel about ETDs. Participants will have all levels of experience with
ETDs. You can find out how other institutions got started as well as
how projects have been sustained for several years.

Piper, U. of New South Wales, Australia; Christine Jewell, U. of

sessions also include reports from leading ETD universities,
including VT, UWV, USF, MIT, Emory, UIowa, UGeorgia, and others.
Workshops in computer classrooms will provide hands-on training on
Adobe, Microsoft, and Macromedia tools as well as PDF, XML, and SGML.
