Changes in LIS Education: A Bibliography

As a lot of you already know, there's been quite a bit of interest lately in
changes in library and information science education. As librarianship
becomes increasingly technology-based, e.g., the exponential growth of the
Web as an information resource, LIS schools are reviewing/revising curricula
to accomodate this increasing reliance on information technology. ALA held
its second Congress on Professional Education last month, and the theme of
next month's Association for Library and Information Science Education
(ALISE) conference is "Reconsidering library and information science
education".

Given this recent level of interest in this topic, I wanted to point out a
bibliography that I am putting together that's titled "Changes in LIS
Education":

This bibliography is an attempt to gather relevant literature related to
changes in LIS education over the past fifteen years or so, for North
American schools accredited by the American Library Association. It contains
entries that treat the topic from the perspectives of both practitioner and
educator.

Right now there are about 125 entries in the bibliography, with about three
dozen or so available online. I'd very much appreciate any suggestions
anyone might have for additional entries.

Note: This bibliography is very much a work in progress. I have not yet
reviewed every entry to determine its applicability. New entries will be
added. Existing entries may be dropped if they are not directly applicable.
Additional entries may be dropped as I tighten the focus of my research on
the topic.
